Default tctrace not working "Not installed error"

    backtrack V5 RC1 on VMware
    root@bt:~# tctrace
The program 'tctrace' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing:
    apt-get install irpas
You will have to enable the component called 'multiverse'
when I try to install it:
    root@bt:~# apt-get install irpas
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
irpas is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
I also tried uninstalling & installing it again. problem remained
p.s. I hate this forum's "Image Verification" , worst ever
