Hello all ty in advance for helping. I am running a asus 1000he with the atheros ne771 wireless. i recently installed bt4 r1 on it and at a stand still when it comes to why this wont connect wifi. I open up my wicd manager and can see wireless networks, i try to connect to mine and i sit at obtaining ip address. I have turned off all security on my router(wep, wpa) and have dhcp enabled. I have read thru the forums, searched the forums and alas googled the hell out of this. But i must be missing something. My 1000he uses ar928x wireless chip( aw-ne771) with ath9k kernel drivers. Is this correct? should i be using other drivers from madwifi? From what i have read other have no issue of getting this wireless card to work on other models of eepcs.
i run command ifconfig and iwconfig and this is what i get

Once again i have read the how to networking and it provided no answer to my problem. To my knowledge that the how to is used for bt4 final users as the bt4 r1 has networking already set up.
So what am i missing! I hope this not a no brainer... Thanks once again in advance. I will be watching this thread all day so any help will be much apprciated and i will respond quickly!
