I one have a backtrack 4 PRE iso burned on a cd. And when I boot backtrack from the nice grub splash, it wasn't on a dark console but on a nice coloured terminal.

Then I was able to use fix-splash to get permanently this boot screen on my local copy of BT.

I've downloaded the last iso few hours ago, and copied it on my usb device, at boot time I still have the nice grub, but when I choose to boot (I've tried them all) I drop to a dirty black console.

How do I tell grub to use bt4.xpm.gz ?

Do you guys have any hints about that ? I'm reinstalling it and planned to let it like that, I don't really mind, I just ask for curiosity...
