The Asus Lamborghini VX2 comes with an Analog Devices AD1986A soundchip. Out of the box, there is no sound on the device. To fix the problem, do the following:

Run alsaconf and accept the hda-intel sound card and accept to make the changes in /etc/modprobe.d/sound.

Once this is done, make a new file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base using gedit and put in the following options

options snd-hda-intel model=3stack position_fix=1

Use alsamixer to set the volume and ensure that all required values (especially headphones and surround) are not muted. Run alsactl store and restart the machine. You should have sound working on the headphones and the speakers on the machine.
