I'm getting myself a laptop soon, that will be used for general office/browsing/email stuff, as well as Penetration testing. The laptop I'm looking at is a Dell Vostro (I don't have much cash :\)
Because of this, I'm thinking about using BackTrack as my OS. I'm thinking about installing apt on it though, to make adding new software easier. Has anyone else tried this, and if so, do you have any advice/suggestions?

Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69
