    Default Can't connect to wifi

    Hi guys

    I'm completely new to BT, although I do have some experience of Ubuntu and Knoppix.
    The problem is, I can't connect to an encrypted AP via wifi. Wicd network manager gives a list of APs (when it does indeed open), but I get a message that the network is encrypted and I cannot connect - even if I know the encryption key.
    Thanks

    What I do to just connect my wireless with a GUI is, in a terminal type:
    wicd && wicd-client &
    Or if running persistant ie: Hard Drive or USB install, make a shortcut on the Desktop with that as the application.

    in the terminal. lt won't start otherwise.
