Google is your friend. Try using keywords, such as "backtrack" "compatibility" "aircrack-ng". Who knows... maybe you'll find a compatibility list for aircrack-ng which is fully supported in BT4.
Compatible wireless adapter?
Hello all,
I've encountered a problem regarding Backtrack 4. I'm going to make a subject about wireless security and I've decided to use Backtrack as tool for my subject since it's one of the most popular wireless pentesting tools. The problem is it wont recognize my wireless card Atheros AR928x, which external card should I purchase for it to work?
Hope someone can help me...

Aircrack-ng has a nice page about drivers and different cards you can purchase. Driver page in wiki. Their forums also has a lot of discussion about different hardware and also be sure to check out this forum's hardware compatibility section.

At least half of everything I see online points to the ALFA AWUS036H, probably since the driver is pre-loaded into bt4. Hopefully that helps.

Yes, but that's not the only reason. First models of Awus036h also known as "Alfa 500" were very sensitive and very powerful, so this was the perfect material for long range connections and wardriving. Now the new version is even more sensitive and more powerful with up to 1000 mW of Tx power (peak value). I think this is really the good choice if you want to use monitor mode and injection.

I HAVE ALFA --36 USB .IT IS NAT WORKING ON BACKTRACK 3 AND 4 BUT IT IS WORKING ON WINDOWS 7 WIFI I DID INSOLL DRIVER FOR THAT. JUST IT IS WORKING ON WONDOS BUT NAT ON BACK TRACK 3 OR BACK TRACK 4 CAN YOU HELP ME .
