    boot = /dev/hda
    prompt
    #bitmap=/boot/splash.bmp
    change-rules
    #vga = 769, 771/773/792
    vga = 769
    image = /bbot/vmlinuz
    root = current
    label = BackTrack
    read-only
    Append = nodhcp

    /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1
    ifconfig eth0 192.168.2.2 netmask 255.255.255.0

    Hi,

    You need to edit /etc/inittab and change the default run level to 4, think its set at 3 as default.

    @brokebloke

    thx it works fine.

    the network connection makes me crazy.
    everthing looks fine, I think.

    /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf
    # Primary network interface card (eth0)
    IPADDR[0]="192.168.2.2"
    NETMASK[0]="255.255.255.0"
    USE_DHCP[0]=""
    DHCP_HOSTNAME[0]=""

    If I setup manually netconfig, it works. but if I reboot there is only "lo"
