Have you checked your disk for any errors? You could try a manual install instead of using the installer, but you have to be aware of the risks.
Hello,
Previously I had Windows 7 Premium dual booting with Backtrack 4 Beta in a single HDD drive.
Only 2 partitions currently: the 100mb one mandatory for Windows 7 plus the other one where it was installed.
With the release of Backtrack 4 Final I decided to do a dban format on the laptop and doing the dual boot again.
So, I've installed Windows 7 and it's up and running, however I'm having some issues with BackTrack 4 Final installation.
When running the installer, in the 4th step (Preparing disk space) I'm presented with the following error:
I've searched around in Google but didn't find any valuable info.An error occurred while writing the changes to the storage devices.
The resize operation has been aborted.
Any help in this issue is appreciated.
Regards,

Have you tried any other partitioning tools to see if you get the same problem? After error checking the drive...
I've done a chkdsk and it didn't report any errors.
I guess I'll have to do the installation manually.
Thanks for the help
Update:
Running chkdsk didn't solve the problem.
Using gparted I'm getting error (95): opening 'dev/sda2' as ntfs failed: operation not supported.
The NTFS journal is unclean.
I'll be doing a defrag, from what I've been reading it works. And probably fixing ntfs through linux if the defrag doesn't solve the issue!
