Change the name of PC.

Hello. I would change the name of the computer on darkchaos. I tried with netconfig but nothing. When I edit the file /etc/ HOSTNAME, it reset on reboot/shutdown. Aid? Thanks

You are looking for the file /etc/rc.d/rc.M .

In there is a line

echo "bt."$DOMAIN > /etc/HOSTNAME

You have to change the bt to the name you want but keep the period, else you will have issues.
