Will do for sure. I'm probably going to need some help with this one, thanks

Already, there seems to be some confusion as to where the tutorial starts. Does the first one work in anyone's experience?

Worked for me since I Made the video lol

the tutorial originally started by operat0r, I read it & a few folk we're asking questions about "how to" etc...it so I put together a vid tutorial -=Xploitz=- & dapirates1 has done it sucessfully, think they had a few minor snags but have posted how to overcome this

This worth trying on a Vista box?

Only I've only got one XP box on my network. I hate XP.

Does this work with a wireless network?

Also does it have to be a fully patched XP and the latest IE7?

I tried this with a not fully patched XP via my AD-Hoc network and it didn't seem to work.

I had to change this command slightly to tell ettercap to use my wireless.
    ettercap -i rausb0 -T -q -F smb.ef -M ARP // // -P autoadd
lol... I suspect I'm doing everything wrong

It's the first time I've used ettercap and msfconsole, so this is completely new to me

well the network I had setup was my victim system was wireless & my BT was wired, i've not done it otherway around but i'm sure it can be done

it doesn't need to be fully patched, heck it'll work easier if it's not

    when you typed
    ettercap -i rausb0 -T -q -F smb.ef -M ARP // // -P autoadd

you could try change it to
    ettercap -i rausb0 -T -q -F smb.ef -M ARP // TARGET.IP.ADDRESS.HERE // -P

What was the output? did it scan at all?

Post anything you have here I'll try my best to assist you or anyone else having difficulties
