It is covered in the forum quite a few times.

edit lilo.conf adding acpi=off
apply the lilo changes
but i cant get to lilo to change config... it shows goes bt................................................ .. bois check successful then from splash screen to black screen.. i can get a command prompt
i have searched and searched....i can not get this to boot for nothing... ok i have xp and bt2 on 1 drive ... i can successfully boot xp... but when i try to boot bt2 just freeze and black screen..it has to be the acpi=off line cause i have to do that with the live cd... and after i edit my lilo.conf.. i get error line 44 "acpi" the line i am inserting is acpi=off does it matter where i am putting it? i am putting the line under the linux config. thanks for all the help
