I cant seem to crack my wep what are the best options or methods to crack this particular wep key?

Is it 64 OR 128? More Info Would help

If the key is longer than 128 bit you will have to specify the length using the -n option. For example:

aircrack-ng -n 256 /tmp/collectedwep.cap

Please provide us some more information on the key length and the commands you use and we might be able to help a bit more.

its a 64 bit key and i tried using:

aircrack-ng -z /wep-01.cap

and i tried

aircrack-ng -n 64 --bssid 00:18:01:EE:37:3C /wep-01.cap

both have the same results

What method have you used to collect the packets? Since you are using the PTW method to crack the key (-z) you will have to collect the full packets (which I can see that you have done), not only the ivs and use the ARP replay method to generate the data packets (-3 option).

No im actualy on the beta live disc and not wanting to lose all the data ive captured, have not shut it off yet.

I am afraid I can't figure out what is causing the problem as you seem to be doing everything correctly.

You can however copy over the cap files to your HD so you will not lose them and I can ensure you that your WEP is not impossible to crack
