Best USB or PCI wireless card

I gotta agree the Alfa AWUS036H 1000mW works great. (my dad has the 500mW version.. not sure the difference)
It works well with BT4 for penetration testing of my own system,
but it also has a great signal..
When I am travelling I can easily pick up wifi from local "coffee shops" that offer free internet access right from the motel room. Signals that my internal wifi card and other external wifi cards can't reach...

Like I said, I have both an original Alfa awus036H, and an imitation (the one I linked to). The imitation has the same chipset (RTL8187), with the L addition which means it's the 1000mW version I think.
I compared them side to side and they performed about the same. The extra 500mW of course does not help with the reception so that was kind of expected.

I`m using UBIQUITI SRC 300mW. Its a very nice card, quiet powerful and you can attach any antenna you like that uses mmcx connector (x2). It`s a bit expensive but works like a dream and never had any problems as it uses atheros chipset. Regards
