Metasploit Framework - Server Started - No Server Started

Hello:

I am having an issue with Metasploit, when I use any browser exploits and try to setup a server exploit, it says the server started, but when I try to manually connect to my exploit server's ip from the target machine, it will say page not found. I know this behavior reflects that the server is not running on the ip, because I'm used to using httpd for other uses, and this behavior is produced when the server isn't running. I did stop httpd service before running metasploit, and metasploit doesn't show that the ip is already in use. So I don't really know what else to check, other than to assume that metasploit is not properly setting up whatever service it uses to start the server.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Ok 6 posts going here and each one a different question. I think one you have no clue what you are doing and as such there is a thread for you that is in the newbie section and it is stickied at the top about being new to linux and bt. 2 you are trying to haxor your neighbor. I would suggest you stick to one topic figure it out and then move on.
