Tunnel Device in Backtrack 3

Ok, I am trying to created a tunnel in backtrack, actually just make one with icmptx, the problem is I am running BT3 under VMWare on WinXP, and when I try the command:

./icmptx -d xx.xx.xx.xx it returns:
"Cannot create tunnel device. Fatal."

Is this a VMWare issue, or am I doing something wrong?
If it helps I am using bridged networking within VMWare.

Yes your vm ware is not configured properly However I am not a vmware expert so I'm afraid i can't help. If I was doing it at home I could figure it out but in this situation it would be hard to trouble shoot.

Try this before setting up your tunnel:

modprobe tun

[PureEvil]

Woot.... thanx mate that actually worked... I didnt even think that I would of had to add in the device... now I will have to test if it works...
