    Default Tcpreplay problem.

Hi all, newbie here ... but i won't bore you by asking the basics, lets just
    say i've lurked and learnt.
Anyway, one problem which is bugging me.

Whenever i try to play out a recently decrypted capture file out over
my local loopback interface using the following command:

    tcpreplay -i lo 7feb2008-01-dec.cap

It comes back with the following error:
Can't open lo: unsupported pysical layer type 0x304
    (Complete with typo!!)

I've tried "ifconfig lo up" to enable the loopback adapter ... i've also tried
"ifconfig at0 up" and changed lo to at0 in the command line, but still see
    the error message.

I'm using a orinoco wd-8470 card, which shows the following text when i
    type iwconfig:

    lo no wireless extensions

    eth0 no wireless extensions

    wifi0 no wireless extensions

    ath0 IEEE 802.11G ESSID ...... etc,etc,etc,etc
    Mode: Managed
(+ 7 more lines of data)

After i type airmon-ng start wifi0, the iwconfig commands brings up slightly
    different data:

    lo no wireless extensions

    eth0 no wireless extensions

    wifi0 no wireless extensions

    ath0 IEEE 802.11G ESSID ...... etc,etc,etc,etc
    Mode: Managed
(+ 7 more lines of data)

    ath1 IEEE 802.11G ESSID ...... etc,etc,etc,etc
    Mode: Monitor
(+ 7 more lines of data)

Any ideas how i can gain my very own shiny virtual interface??

If your daat capture has been done under wifi, you have to replay it on your wifi card. it is that simple.

For my part, I have a problem with tcpreplay, it shows me that erro :

tcpreplay: error while loading shared libraries: libopts.25: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

have installed the previous version of tcpreplay, but I steel have thos error.
    any idea?

No need to post the exact same question in two places. You need to do a search on your system and see if you have the library. If you do you need to create a sym link to /usr/lib or /usr/local/lib or wherver tcreplay is looking for it.
