    Hey guys, just an update

managed to get the script to execute from a slax live disk - possibly an issue running from debian based distro's?

also i have attempted running the script from ubuntu after a sudo -s with no change.

I was root. I did have complete write access to the drive. The script is not fine, there are 2 people, 3 different operating systems that it didn't work on. Parrot fixed it with using a different distro. Me and him both tried installing it when we had root privileges. Hell, I even tried installing it from backtrack2 final, it defaults to root. I eventually gave up and turned to microshaft. Either way we both have it installed now but
    the script is not fine.

Hi. had the same issue, seems to be a general problem with slax usb bootables as the wrong shell is referenced.

One way to solve this would be
    Code:
     sudo ln -sf /bin/bash /bin/sh

    hey fatou, that helped! thanks.
    now, the next error:

Flushing filesystem buffers, this may take a while...
Setting up boot record for /dev/sdb...
/dev/sdb: only 512-byte sectors are supported

    any ideas?

EDIT: To solve the problem I had to switch to a different USB stick, the other one had non-standard sectors and just wouldn't work... good luck to all other noobs
