    Default Bluetooth Adapter Choices

    Alright.
Well I got the idea off someone's blog here.
But it's called project janus and its a computer in an attach'e case.
For the Bluetooth adapter I have options of USB only and about 60 AUD tops.
    What do you recomend?

I already have the motherboard and stuff.
I ripped em' outta a laptop and kept the screen in contact so ill splice the wires and extend the connector plus ill mount a 15" LCD in the roof of the case and have a dual monitor setup.
I am going to solar power the thing as well as optional mains.
Im putting in a very lovely Ubiquiti SuperRange Cardbus via PCMCIA.
As well as a Edimax EW-7318USG.
I am also going to invest in a floppy latex keyboard, wireless mouse.
And a GPS Device any recommendations for that would be much appreciated.

I have searched about the bluetooth and havent found any recomendations so i thought i would start a thread.
    Thanks.

I'm also searching for a bluetooth adapter. I've searched the forums and found the following that have a CSR chipset and allow firmware modifying:

    Linksys USBBT100 Rev 1
    D-Link DBT-120 Rev C1
    DELOCK 61478
    A7 eb502-HCI
    Fujitsu Siemens BLUETOOTH V2.0
    Toshiba PA3455U-1BTM
    Aircable Host XR
    Cellink BTA-6030 Bluetooth Adapter

The adapter must allow flashing of the external ROM, so finding the correct adapter is painstaking. If anyone knows of any others, please add them to the list. If you know where to buy any of the mentioned adapters (with correct revision #), post as well.

Most of them are very hard to get hold of now Unless you get a second hand one off ebay.

Socket bluetooth dongles also have the CSR BC04-EXT chipset and a nice big bulky antenna that makes it east for the external antenna mods you may of seen while looking around.

Do you really think he's still waiting for an answer after 22 months?
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.

That's ok, you probably can't see your clock on the dark side.
