Did you try the nVidia module from the wiki first?
ok i just installed BT3 and was geting things set up. i had just loaded my Zd1211 firmware, installed some updates using fasttrack but other than that the system is not modified. its a HD install by the way.
i downloaded NVIDIA-Linux-x86-169.07-pkg1.run from the Nvidia site, loged out of Kde, and tried to install. got a weird error saying cant find the kernel source tree or something. here is the log file.

Monkeypoo, You have been around here long enough to know what section to post in. I should give out a infraction however there is not one for just being dense so a strong verbal reprimand will have to do.
Do not post in the bug & fix section unless you have a fix.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
move me at your will. wont happen again.

I would say go to the wiki, download the kernel source.
I don't suppose you also need a direct link too now?

There is an issue I have had with compiz + nvidia GeForce 7600 where my window decorations disappear when I activate the desktop fast switchermaroo. I've yet to dive into this (would of liked to have today, but unfortunately I've had other issues, i.e. 4+ hours trying to figure out why my DVD-ROM drive fails to read disks on my HP notebook).
I'll get to the bottom of it and post my findings, but I encourage anyone else whom has had these issues to make it known.
