it should say root=/dev/hda2 (or something).
I felt like bending the bars back, and ripping out the window frames and eating them. yes, eating them! Leaping, leaping, leaping! Colonics for everyone! All right! You dumb*sses. I'm a mental patient. I'm *supposed* to act out!
i search the forum but i can't find it...
can someone link me?
I suggest following this tutorial. I think its for BT2, but it should work fine for the BT3 beta.

the wiki team thx to them will work on a MAJOR UPDATE of the wiki, updating all tuts for bt3
my installer in it's final form will do that
but for a 4 go key, i prefer advise you to install as a normal live install in a 1Go FAT32 PART, TO CREATE A SECOND PARTITION EXT2
BOOT YOUR PC , WRITE DOWN THE IDENTIFIER OF YOUR EXT2 PART ie /dev/sdb2
cd to /mnt/nameoffat32part/boot/syslinux
edit syslinux.cfg add to the append line the kernel parameter :
changes=/dev/identifierofEXT2partition
reinstall syslinux
reboot
