The space on a cd is limited, so unimportant apps are not included.

There are instructions on remastering the disk to include such apps if you need them, so there isn't really a problem.

OpenOffice really has nothing to do with pentesting. Useful? Yes. but a lot of people aren't going to be booting BT to write in openoffice.
I felt like bending the bars back, and ripping out the window frames and eating them. yes, eating them! Leaping, leaping, leaping! Colonics for everyone! All right! You dumb*sses. I'm a mental patient. I'm *supposed* to act out!

So why did I do it? I could offer a million answers, all false. The truth is that I'm a bad person, but that's going to change, I'm going to change. This is the last of this sort of thing. I'm cleaning up and I'm moving on, going straight and choosing life.

    Why openoffice is not inluded
Because 1) It has nothing to do with PenTesting. 2) BT isn't meant to be a daily use distro. 3) It takes too much room.

As for Filezilla, I agree it's nice but I believe you have a few alternatives.
    1) ftp from the commandline.
    2) FireFox and Konq should both be able to handle ftp URLs. ftp://ftp.yourbox.com
I'm a compulsive post editor, you might wanna wait until my post has been online for 5-10 mins before quoting it as it will likely change.

I know I seem harsh in some of my replies. SORRY! But if you're doing something illegal or posting something that seems to be obvious BS I'm going to call you on it.

Yeah and if you need them, install it to your HD, and use slapt-get. Or something else.
