Default Got WEP key, Got success connection, Next day: does'nt work

Hey I had a deal with my neightbor to prove him that I can crack is WEP. Then he gave me authorisation to hack is network. Everything worked perfectly and I got is WEP key (88:88:88:88:88) witch is "^^^^^" in ASCII. I tryed to connect and it worked perfectly :-D. It was 2 in the morning so i could'nt show my work yet. The next day i tried to connect again but it did'nt worked. So i tough maybe he's trying to joke me and he changed is WEP key. So i did the attack one again and i found the same WEP key. I tought maybe he was filtering is MAC adress so i changed my MAC adress to his client's computer MAC adress but it didnt worked. Does anyone have an idea of what's going wrong ?

Maybe the neighbor switched to WPA. I fired up kismet on saturday and was looking at things, I noticed one of the neighbors was getting his wep cracked at the moment. His IV's were shooting through the roof. Kinda funny.
I felt like bending the bars back, and ripping out the window frames and eating them. yes, eating them! Leaping, leaping, leaping! Colonics for everyone! All right! You dumb*sses. I'm a mental patient. I'm *supposed* to act out!

I'm sure you were a decent human being and told him what was happening?
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.

One of these days I gotta get the doorless microwave mounted on the roof. I see shit like that on my network, the poe injectors get turned off and the microwave is set for 2 minutes. I figure that will let out the magic smoke on the moron's wifi card.
Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69

I Don't care if you "say" you have permission to break anyones wifi. In case you are unaware people tend to lie on the inturnet. May I highlight a few of the forum rules you agreed to.....

Posts like - "Oooh! look!! I've cracked my neighbours wireless AP" or "How do I hack a network!?" are not needed here, thanks.

We do not condone any illegal activity at all.

Do not post about breaking into networks that do not belong to you and for which you have no permissions.
