Maybe beaucouse capturing images isnt a vital function, and the BackTrack team had to watch after each mo to make everything hold in a 700 iso and 1go USB key.

Driftnet is included in the BT3 beta package. The problem happens to be that the program isn't in a folder found in the PATH. If you type:

    # whereis driftnet

    then you get

    driftnet: /usr/local/driftnet

To remedy the situation then just make a symbolic link to a directory in the PATH. Here's what I did.

    # cd /usr/local/bin
    # ln -s /usr/local/driftnet/driftnet driftnet

    Now driftnet will work properly.
