    Default access denied

    When i try to boot backtrack

    i enter this command

    C:
    CD \BOOT\DOS
    BT3.bat

    access denied comes up!

    any idea whats up?

    Unless I am missing something here then you need to insert the media into an appropriate drive and then reboot the computer .

    Its in I

    when im at the command prompt in dos
    it says

    [DR-DOS] A:\

    how do i change it to I?

    It sounds to me like you are trying to run the CD within Windows!?
    It is a bootable CD

    Please follow the basic guides on burning your iso to cdr and booting the pc from the cdrom drive. These guides can be found in the forums

    Whats A? how do i vchange that to I as my disc is in drive I

    I used POWERISO to burn the disc onto a dvd and my driver are set in the bios to boot from cd/dvd

    Yes im trying to load it in windows is that not what you do?

    I don''t intend to sound rude, but you really need to do some serious research!

    What on earth do you intend to do with BackTrack if you don't even know what it is!?

    I do know what backtrack is

    i dont have a linux but im using the live cd to get it going

    I suggest you spend a few weeks reading the forum, books, google searches before you even attempt to boot BT, you will save yourself a lot of trouble.
