Just wondering what it is possible to do after you gain access to a wireless network. I already know you can sniff passwords but is there anything else ?
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.
I guess you could sniff passwords and find out what passwords you and other family members are using. If you have kids in the house you could run driftnet and see what pictures they are viewing.
I usually just check my email, RSS Feeds, forums and other normal things once I have wireless access. Unless as Streaker said, I am performing an authorized penetration test and then it would depend on what the customer wanted me to do after I gained access to their network.
Sharks can smell one drop of blood in the water...
Is it possible to gain access to other computers in the network ? If it's the case, I don't want my neighbours to see my files... lol
I'm not asking to show me how... I was just wondering what could be done.
Like I said, I know hundreds of noobs asked the «how can I break into my friends computer» question. I'm not here for this. But like usual, I'll learn by myself.
I inform the person how I did it, and help them correct the problem. Then I collect my money and go to the beer store.
