WPA2 connection - help needed

new to BackTrack and these forums so "Hello" first of all. Look forward to spending most of my time around here!!

I am having trouble setting up a wireless network using BackTrack 2. I am booting from CD and have my internal wireless card, Intel Pro 2200BG on eth0 and my Edimax EW-7318USG on rausb0.

I need to set up a connection to the internet first, so I can obtain the new rt73 drivers by following instructions on Aircrack-ng Site for my Edimax EW7318USG adaptor.

My main PC's wireless connection is set up to use WPA-PSK encryption and WPA-PSK version I am using is WPA2.

Can anyone help with details on how I can setup a connection.

The wiki says that at least one of your cards works with aircrack-ng
so it stands to reason that if aircrack works you should be able to connect to the internet and download a driver so.... I am not sure I follow you to well.

I have read through the links provided and do not know how to set up my wireless connection. Can anyone help?

My wireless USB (Edimax EW-7318USG) is on rausb0 - how do I set this up to connect to the internet? My router is using WPA2 encryption.

Ideally, I want my Intel Pro 2200BG to access the internet and my Edimax EW-7318USG to switch between internet and monitor mode when necessary.

Everything you need should be located right in this thread. Read all the way through, there's a section on connecting to wireless networks using both WEP and WPA.

this is what I have done step by step and still cannot connect to internet:-

iwconfig (OK, my wireless USB is on rausb0)
ifconfig rausb0 up
iwconfig rausb0 ap xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
dhcpcd rausb0 (IP address assigned fine)

I have a WPA2 secure connection so I do the following:

nano wpa_supplicant.conf (which contains the following.....)

network={
essid="nameofnetwork"
key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
proto=WPA
pairwise=TKIP
group=TKIP
psk="WPApassphrase"
}

then run:

wpa_supplicant -D ?????? -i rausb0 -c wpa_supplicant.conf

not sure which to use in the ???? bit above - please advise.

built-in card = IntelPro 2200BG and USB Wireless is an Edimax-EW7318USG
