Problems with BT2 booting on laptop

I am not sure what is happening but I have a good version of BT2 on a USB stick(booted on my desktop). It will NOT boot on my Compaq Presario 2100 though.

I have set the boot order in BIOS to:

Removable drives
CD drive
HDD

It just wont boot from the USB though. I am going to install another copy on another USB drive in the next hour with BT2USB4WIN. This is how I installed it and it worked on the other USB stick. The stick is a Memorex Traveldrive 2Gig 2.0.

Can anyone help me with this? I have read the WIKI followed the instructions on different ways but nothing has worked yet.

I have no trouble running the BT2 livecd & even had BT2 installed on my presario 2100, all hardware worked fine. I'm having trouble with BT3 though, seems my pcmcia isnt' working.
