Default BT3 - iwconfig: device or resource busy

    Hello,

    I'm Headshot
I'm using the Back Track beta version.

I'm trying to setup monitor mode:

    Input:
    Code:
    iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor
    Output:
    Code:
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Device or resource busy.
    Can this be fixed?

If somebody could help me with this i would appreciate it!

    Kind Regards,

    Headshot

The ipw3495 driver shows up as wlan0 so if you have a alfa for example it will show up as wlan1

Make sure you didn't start airodump-ng yet or anything of that sort. If airodump-ng is running you won't be able to make any changes to the card. Good luck.
