I had a problem with ipwraw. When i charge the module "modprobe ipwraw", this module is in "/usr/src/drivers/ipwraw-ng" the module charge but never i can see the wifi0 or another interface.

    Please can you help me.
    do this:

    rmmod iwl3945
    modprobe ipwraw

or if you want to do it the longer but cleaner way:

    cd /usr/src/drivers/iwlwifi-1.0.0
    ./unload
    modprobe ipwraw

    to go back:

    rmmod ipwraw
    modprobe iwl3945

    or assuming in different directory:

    rmmod ipwraw
    cd /usr/src/drivers/iwlwifi-1.0.0
    ./load

    bt ~ # modprobe -r ipw3945 (I have an iwl3945, I suppose yours is ipw3945)

    bt ~ # iwconfig
    lo no wireless extensions.

    eth0 no wireless extensions.

    bt ~ # modprobe ipwraw
    bt ~ # iwconfig
    lo no wireless extensions.

    eth0 no wireless extensions.

    wifi0 unassociated ESSID:off/any

    rtap0 no wireless extensions.

    bt ~ # ifconfig wifi0 down
    bt ~ # macchanger --mac 00:10:20:30:40:50 wifi0

    bt ~ # ifconfig wifi0 up
    bt ~ # ifconfig wifi0

    bt ~ # airmon-ng start wifi0

    Interface Chipset Driver

    wifi0 Centrino a/b/g ipwraw-ng (monitor mode enabled)

This should put the card at the right speed and make it ready for injection. My iwl3945 doens inject properly, I had to use a card with atheros chipset...
