kismet questions....

I havent been able to get kismet running and I have a couple questions:

-I know I have to edit the .conf file, which I change to source=wifi,ath1,atheros, I think it is the right driver, but what command can I type to double check?

-is there a huge difference between airodump and kismet?

you do better using madwifi drivers for atheros cards....

source=madwifi_ag,ath1,madwifi

Airodump is used for creating dumps of network traffic on a special network

Kismet is used for showing several wlan networks and clients on this.

No, take the time to do some research. If you read the MAN pages about kismet or the aircrack suite you would see some major differences. That's like asking "What's the difference between germany and africa?"
