    Default pipelining john the ripper to aircrack

    ok i have searched the web google and a lot of other places all it says it that you can but i cant find how to use john the ripper to crack wpa cap files with aircrack the syntax is something like this
    john --incremental:alnum minlen = 7 maxlen =10 --stdout | aircrack-ng -b 00:21:04:1A:75:4A -w - psk-01.cap
    i know its 8-10 numbers irun command and says reading packets please wait and then nothing happens is this suppose to happen what todo?

    I had a similar problem some time ago, you will kick yourself when i tell you (i did)
    Everything is going just fine when i says 'please wait' but because you have started john the ripper at 7 and wpa passwords can only be between 8 and 63 chars. aircrack sits there waiting till john the ripper gets to 8 chars. If you start john the ripper at 8 you should find aircrack will start straight away.
