Lenovo T60, T61, T42

T61p works only in VESA
Crashes in compiz.
IPW3945 and IPWRAW work with wiki bug fix!
NO SOUND....Never had sound with BT2 either... maybe I'm doing something wrong. Tried alsaconf with no luck.

UPDATE: Found sound hack for T61p, might work with other lenovo laptops, with ICH8 family audio....Go here

I have tested 4 laptop's two Lenovo T60 one T61 and one T42

T42 boots fine with ISO CD

didnt get time to test wireless etc but will do that and update.

T42 has ann atheros chipset and wireless is working fine; i successfully cracked my home wifi set to WEP 128 bit in less than 40 minutes with aircrack using airoscript (yeah I know someone is going to flame me for using that script, but I just wanted to know how long it could take to get past a 128 key if a client was connected to the net without having to do too much homework...).

My T61 boots fine from USB in VESA mode. I use it with a WG511T.

Sound works fine after applying the workaround as per user17 (thanks):

Thank you Juststormy for your respose kdenetwork installed, but my only question now is how do I start kdenetwork manager now and be able to have a tray icon in order to see and connect to different wireless AP's?

my t61 can boot from vesa mode ,but bt3 can not find any net interface,neither wireless nor ethert.

You need to know what kind of wireless card you have. Open up a console, and type in

lspci | grep Wireless

The output will tell you what you have. I have a T400 with an Atheros internal, and Broadcom externel cards, and here is my output:
