Wouldn't that defeat the purpose from having to carry a CD around? You might as well just boot it from the CD.
Help booting from USB drive
So my problem is that im using an older laptop with a bios that does not support booting from usb drives. I remeber hearing somewhere that there was a way to have it boot from a cd which would then let you boot from your usb drive. Does anyone know of something like this??

You might be able to update the BIOS.
Go into your BIOS and see what version you have.
