I've tried with the pcmcia config files from BackTrack2 but this doesn't seem to resolve the problem...

Same with my ASUS A6T and my beloved Senao 2511 Ext2....Both worked wonderfull together in BT2, that´s why I actually bought it.....

    I'm running an IBM/Lenovo T40 (2373-MU3) and a Senao 2511 Ext2 and I'm running into the same error.

I did notice something interesting though. If you allow the machine to boot up and then proceed to insert the card then everything seems to still work... however, trying to run any networking related commands results in a freeze (IE iwconfig or ifconfig).

I would think this would be a high priority bug given the number of people who use PRISM based wireless cards for auditing.

i try to, once booted the system without card, type modprobe hostap_cs and then insert the card.
This solve the kernel error, and the card is usable to capture packets.
The problem is that it seems to be unable to inject.....(every command aireplay related is responding but not work really)

Same problem, I'm looking forward to getting this resolved in the next update.

    Default Also seeing the problem...

Yet another data point on this problem.

Here's the contents of dmesg after inserting the Orinoco card:

    Code:
pccard: PCMCIA card inserted into slot 0
    cs: memory probe 0xa0000000-0xa0ffffff: clean.
    pcmcia: registering new device pcmcia0.0
    orinoco.c 0.13e (David Gibson <hermes@gibson.dropbear.id.au> and others)
    Compiled with Wireless extensions v.22
orinoco_cs 0.15 (David Gibson <hermes@gibson.dropbear.id.au>, Pavel Roskin <proski@gnu.org>, et al)
