Default Connect to WEP, index key 3

    Hello,

I was wondering how to connect to a wireless network with the wep key index set to 3 in BT3 (and BT2 too, for that matter). I know how to tune in to that key index with airodump, just not how to connect to it at my mums
It would help a lot to be able to surf the internet from inside backtrack, instead of switching between xp and bt3 all the time

    thanks,
    Eomer

    Try

    Code:
    iwconfig wlan0 key [1] 0000-0000-00 key [2] 0000-0000-00 key [3] 0000-0000-00 key [4] 0000-0000-00 key [2]
Where you enter in the four keys for each index and the last statement (key [2]) indicates the key you want to use. (Obviously replace wlan0 with the real interface and the 0s with the key.) If you want to change to a different key index afterwards you can just issue this command:
    Code:
    iwconfig wlan0 key [4]
As a last thought, you might be able to get away with
    Code:
    iwconfig wlan0 key [2] 0000-0000-00 key [2]
But I haven't tested any of this stuff in BT2/3.
