Hi.
I want to buy me the new MacBook Pro...
But does BT3 now really support it?

The Wiki says "No", ok it says that BT is loaded correctly but the wifi-card does not work.

Following some users on the forum(wifiphoto) it just works fine...

If i am correct informed, the Airport Extreme uses a Broadcom-chipset.
Some other MacBooks use Atheros, right?

Are both supported by BT3?
Does MonitorMode / Injection work? Normal Browsing should work too!?!

I do not want to by me a USB-Adapter( Barbsie: Alfa from Data-Alliance(500mw?))

I am not a BT Junkie by any means but if there is any test you would like me to run just let me know and I will be glad to try it out for you. I have essentially the same setup you are looking at. And yes, it is an Atheros chipset (or at least I use ath0 for all my commands)

thx for your help. When did you buy your Notebook?
I think the new Macbook Pro (december 2007) uses the broadcom-chip...
So there is no need for you to test it for me...

AND if im not correct and the new Macbook Pros are using the atheroschip it will just work normal.

But thx for your help...if everything turns bad i'll go to ebay and by me that Alfa-USB-Device

I have a MBP 2.33 with the ATI X1600 and my BT3 refuses to open the GUI. Running xconf doesn't help.

Anyone here running BT3 on an ATI MBP?

Not that I know. I'm still waiting.

Another thing I'm not able to do is to boot BT from a flash USB drive, not even using rEFIt.

After further tinkering, I was able to get the internal macbook atheros wifi card to work fine.

Yeah I'm having issues getting the GUI up as well... xconf does nothing. Error is something to the effect of not finding a monitor

Any suggestions?
