Alfa 500mw USB card and Airodump-ng..Channel locking problems.

Hello,

I am having difficulties locking my brand new Alfa card to channels using Airodump-ng and BT3. It enter the command:

airodump-ng --ivs --write ivscapture --channel 11 wlan0

but this still captures from all the channels. How do i lock this down to a channel? Anyone managed this?

I am finding it hard to steal the authentication packets from the AP i am injecting because i there are like 3 or 4 AP's using the same channel.
..so it basically get's nowhere fast.

Anyone now how to sort this?

Here try this command it will lock you down on one channel.

airodump-ng --ivs --channel 11 --bssid 00:00:00:00:00:00 --write capturefile eth1

of course enter your interface and the AP's bssid. Let me know if this helps.
