Seems you just posted. I believe we have a rule you can only post in the newbie section for the first few posts. I may be wrong so someone please correct me.

Read the rules you agreed to when you signed up.

(The forum rules appear as a "sticky" post at the top of every forum/sub-forum)

You would then know that all new members posts are placed in a queue, whilst awaiting moderation. This measure is taken during the first few days of your membership. This is primarily an anti-spam measure.

Sometimes, because of this, there will be a small delay before your post(s) become visible on the board.

During this time, DO NOT double post, as you may receive infractions for this.

I had the same problem at first, didn't know what was going on. Before you ask about an avatar, it would seem that you need a certain amount of posts before you can have one.
