BackTrack uses some packages originally taken from the Ubuntu repositories, but it is not Ubuntu. Upgrading as you describe is not a supported option.
When i run sudo apt-get update and then sudo apt-get upgrade it does upgrade seems like everything but the ubuntu OS. I want to run on ubuntu 10.04 reather than 8.10 is that possible and if yes how?
