BT2 Boots to boot:
I have checked MD5 and it's good.
I burned the CD using ROXIO at 4X
CD will boot to boot: and stop temporarily.
Then loads two files out of the /boot and screen goes blank/black.
From reading the forums I guess it is a driver for my laptop.
I made a USB drive, but I do not know how to get my laptop to boot from the USB. I have the USB drive connected when booting from the CD.
I don't know what to do next.
Thanks.

In order for your computer to boot from the usb it has to be enabled in the bios or course your bios has to support it.
check with the manufacturer of your bios/computer to find out if it is compatabile.

Ok, when your computer "stops" booting type this
bt acpi=off
that might solve your problem, as for creating a USB bootable backtrack see shamanvirtuel's USB live installer

My Laptop doesn't have an option in the bias for booting from a USB Drive.
I let it boot to "boot:" and typed in bt acpi=off and it appears to be working!
Thanks!
