Angry BT2 Final install on Compaq Computers

First, I am not a Linux type guy. I had the older version of BT running on a old NC610. Downloaded the BT2 download and I have tried to install on a NC6220, NC6100, NC610 with no success following the install documents exactly.

When any machine boots after doing a Real Install to the hard drive. I get only a blinking _ on the screen.

Tried multiple machines, and I am at wits in. The CD will boot and I can use it but I really would like to run from the HD.

Thanks for any tips to get BT2 to run.....

You need to download the FX drivers and put them on a Flashdrive then mount it in Linux.

    #Mount
    #cd /dev/sdd_removable
    #sh nvidiadriver.run

Or you can just use Unix ctrl Alt F2

If the CD is too slow you could always go with a USB install.
I'm a compulsive post editor, you might wanna wait until my post has been online for 5-10 mins before quoting it as it will likely change.

I know I seem harsh in some of my replies. SORRY! But if you're doing something illegal or posting something that seems to be obvious BS I'm going to call you on it.

The reason I wanted to load to a hard drive was to be able to (1) upload components updates (2) save the data from my scans.

If I read the first reply is this a permanent fix or will I need to mount from the usb stick and run these commands each time?

If this is the case, a USB drive would be better as a installation??

Thanks very much for the great support. (I tried this for a month or two!!)
