    Default dynamic ip

I use backtrack under vmware, ethernet card is bridged, when i use ifconfig command : there's only lo
    then ifconfig -a : eth0 and lo
    ifconfig eth0 up
then ifconfig --> eth0 and lo
then dhcpc eth0 --> no response
then ifconfig : there's only lo !!!!!! (eth0 is down)
    - dhcp server is an ADSL router
what should I do to get dynamic ip adress ? thanks

    Is that a typo?
I'm a compulsive post editor, you might wanna wait until my post has been online for 5-10 mins before quoting it as it will likely change.

I know I seem harsh in some of my replies. SORRY! But if you're doing something illegal or posting something that seems to be obvious BS I'm going to call you on it.

Wow... missed that one... that would be your problem if it is a typo... should be dhcpcd
    dd if=/dev/swc666 of=/dev/wyze
