Default How to set resolution in VMware to 1280x800

    Hi there,
i am using BT 2.0 on my Macbook in VMware Fusion, nearly everything works except i get the wrong display resolution, i can only set up to 1024x768 but i need 1280x800.

I also tried 915resolution but it gives me an unknown chipset failure.

An xconf leads to a max resolution of 640x480, so this is no solution, can anybody give me a hint what to do?

IIFC, you should be able to get all your available video resolutions to be shown when you type:

    dmesg |more

after you log in. It will give you a whole lot of info that you will have to sift through. Perhaps you can try:

    dmesg |grep video

    or

    dmesg |grep mode

In the kde environment, there is a display resolution icon in the system try. Do your resolutions show up there?
