    Well I'll be damn3d...

    According to the aircrack people (darkAudix to be exact)....

    he wpa/wpa2 standard says that passwords must be 8 or more characters. 8 to 63 to be exact.

    Aircrack-ng already skips the ones less then 8.

    d.
    I wasn't aware of this..lol. I never really payed that much attention to it when it was "cracking"..

    However....

    I have still failed to check out thetom's method as of yet. And if it will "clean-up" my wordlist without harming them (I'll make a test list first) I'll be more than happy to PM you my FTP servers address. After all..you did tell me a way to remove duplicates and chop off less than 8 characters, and I had forgotten about the cat commands. But I knew nothing about the pw-inspector commands at all.

    This is what i'm doing when polishing wordlist
    First sort and eliminate double entries
    #cat all.txt | sort | uniq > sortedUniqueList.txt

    To kick all non wpa acceptable do this
    #cat sortedUniqueList.txt | pw-inspector -m 8 -M 63 > wpaList.txt

    pw-inspector is part of bt and coded by thc-group ( don't blame me if i'm wrong)

    Hope this will help, at least 2 GB are done really quick (depends only on harddisk speed)
    So mail me for ftp account information
    I finally got around to testing this..and I must say I'm shocked that I wasn't aware of pw-inspector.

    The combo of cat commands and pw-inspector have worked absolutely FLAWLESSLY!!

    A deals a deal!!!

    Since we are talking about cat and other word list commands does any one know the correct commands to take a text file for example a book lets say ( not pdf ) and parse it a command to put every word on a single line. I used to know how to do it a very easy way in the terminal but it seems to be escaping me. What I need to do is down load a whole website in text ( this I can do ) and convert all the pages to one big long single line word list.

    thats what I needed shamen. Testing it now. Do you know if the wyd.pl script will pull text from html documents. Never mind I found this
    Supported file types:

    * plain
    * html
    * php (partially, as html)
    * doc
    * pdf
    * mp3
    * ppt
    * jpeg
    * odt / ods / odp

    Additionally all unknown files with MIME type text/plain are
    processed using the plain module or the strings usage.

    Your welcome thetom.

    Although that collection was yet to be filtered..I lost my Dell Latitude c610 that had my filtered list on it and some 1.5-2 Gigs extra...but the collection I gave you was on my Desktops Storage drive.

    It would be nice If I could find a tool similar to

    Accent Keyword Extractor

    ............one like this, but one that wasn't so damn buggy and crashes after a few hundred web pages are scanned.

    Anybody know of any tools similar to this one, but isn't "site-specific"
