Wireless Card Prism2 Firmware

Hello,
im new here and got a question about my wireless card.
At present i installed bt2 on my ibm x30 with an integrated prism2 card from intersil.
I tryed hostap the hostap howto but it doesnt work. dmesg| grep eth1 says :
eth1: HArdwre identity 8013:0000 .....
eth1: Connot read station identity :error -61
eth1: Incompatible firmware, aborting

So i think i need to flash a new firmware but im not shure. Can anyone give me Support?

EDIT: The current error msg from syslog ist
wlan0: MAC port 0 enabling failed
wlan0: could not enable MAC port

now i tryed different modules and get it startet with hostap_pci but.
but now there is an mac error ... i see the divce but it got no mac address also syslog says there is a mac error

Don't know what you mean by "hostap howto" are you saying you've blacklisted the Orinoco and Hermes drivers?

I'd have to check, but iirc it was always best to use 1.74 firmware on prism cards........
