Question Kismet configuration in BackTrack 2

    Hello guys,

I have installed BackTrack 2 final on my hard disk drive and I use Kismet with an Orinoco card and Intel IPW3945. Both cards work well in monitor mode. My problem is that I think Kismet.conf is autoconfigured by BackTrack so even if I don't want channel hopping, this option is enabled. I can't lock Kismet on the channel I want, even if I force it in the console.

Is there a way for stopping BackTrack autoconfiguring Kismet.conf and then I could use my own settings ?

Thanks if you can try to help me !

Search the forums with the keyword...

    Code:

    Smile Try this

Kismet requires a source to be configured.

For my broadcom card, which uses the bcm43xx driver and detected as eth0, the command will be,

    kismet -c bcm43xx,eth0,bcm43xx

for a list of options that you can pass to kismet,

    kismet_server --help

    Hope this helps you.
