just a little doubt, could anyone please tell me where the xorg.conf is, I just installed bt2 and the Xserver isnt running with my video card as default, like with the liveCD.. mine is an nvidia Go on a laptop presario V3000. any idea of an optimal configuration for my card? Thanks.

I just installed bt2 on hd, but the Xsystem doesnt start up my Nvidia card as default.
where is the xorg.conf located? and I will appreciate if somebody tells me about an optimal confguration for my video card and a broadcom wireless card. thanks

I have also made both your posts into one, as they are both partially asking the same question.

you will find xorg.conf under /etc/X11/

The optimal resolution depends on what resolution your monitor supports.
If you want to work with high resolution (less scrolling, smaller details) set the resolution to the maximum of your display.
If you want to work with low resolution (more scrolling, bigger words/details) set the resolution to something that suits you the best.

I'm a compulsive post editor, you might wanna wait until my post has been online for 5-10 mins before quoting it as it will likely change.

I know I seem harsh in some of my replies. SORRY! But if you're doing something illegal or posting something that seems to be obvious BS I'm going to call you on it.
