    Default Desktop resolution probelm

Hi, I've just installed Backtrack 5 64bit with Gnome in dualboot with windows7 on my notebook. Graphics card Radeon HD 7670M 2GB. The problem is that i can set the resolution of screen only at 800x600 or 1024x768, but I'd like to set it at 1366x768. How can i do it? I need drivers or something different? I'm a beginner in Ubuntu world help please!

Open up a terminal and issue these commands and post output:
    1. xrandr
    2. lspci -v ---> look for the VGA section and post output for VGA.

You might try issuing a higher resolution but we need to fond out the xrandr output. Otherwise you will have to install the propietary driver.
