I am running on Mac OS X, 10.8.2, Virtual Box. I have installed the guest addition and also the extension pack for USB.

I have already installed the linux driver for Realtek RTL8192CU, because that's the chip it uses.

When i run the lsusb command it recognizes it as Realtek.

I know that it is connected. but i just can't get it to recognize it as a wireless card.


When I run airmon-ng I get:

Interface Chipset Driver



and when I run iwconfig I get:

lo no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.


When I open wicd, it shows that there are no networks available.
